Eligibility for Text Blasts
Before receiving a text blast, accounts must have the Mobile Notification section filled in for the member, otherwise the user will not receive the blast. To check this setting, navigate to the account, and select the member. Scroll to the bottom of the Member Info screen and click the Add New Mobile Notification link if one is not already present. Add the mobile number and submit. Remember to use mobile numbers only.

- Enter the message in the body field
- Click Continue

- The next screen provides a chance to review, edit, and send the text message

- After reviewing the text blast, select your date and time to send the text
- Text blasts can be scheduled in 15-minute increments
- The outgoing texts will be batched within 5 minutes of “send time”, so any texts scheduled during that window will join the next 15-minute increment for accuracy and efficiency
- i.e. It is 2:15pm and you compose a text to send at 2:30pm. You finish writing it at 2:27pm and go to send it. The 2:30pm outgoing messages have already been batched, so your text shows that it will be sent now at 2:45pm. This will ensure that no texts get left behind due to timing conflicts with composition and submission.
- You will be able to enter a time such as 2:37pm in the field, which will then batch with the 2:45pm outgoing texts
- If the batch time has passed, the system will display a message that says, “The scheduled date/time you have entered has already passed” and will allow you to select the next time
- You can send an “immediate text blast” by choosing a time just in the future (i.e. if it's 2:52pm, I can set my time for 2:54pm. That will batch with the 3:00pm text blasts and be on its way)
- The outgoing texts will be batched within 5 minutes of “send time”, so any texts scheduled during that window will join the next 15-minute increment for accuracy and efficiency
- Text blasts can be scheduled in 15-minute increments
- Click Schedule Text, and you will see a confirmation screen detailing the date and time scheduled for your text blast
- The history of text messages can be viewed on the Text Blast page
STOP message Recipients
By texting STOP to the text thread your customer has blocked the number from their phone. This process also removes the notification number from the member profile on MyRec.com.
To opt back into texts the user must text UNSTOP or START to the text thread to unblock the number from their phone. They must also re-add their notification number to their member profile within MyRec.com.
If they have deleted the message thread, they will need to contact their carrier for additional assistance.
To view phone numbers that have opted-out, refer to the Account Report for Notification Opt Out Numbers.
