Enabling Use of Inventory

When creating or editing a product, you have the option to use product inventory. Inventory allows you to set a limit to how many of a product you can sell. This number is tracked on the Product Overview screen. If you attempt to exceed the maximum inventory in a sale, the system will not allow you to proceed. This will restrict sales of this item to available inventory at the time of purchase.

1. Use Product Inventory - Enables the use of product inventory
2. Allow Check In/Out of Item - Products are checked out of inventory when purchased and can be checked back into inventory via the Product Check In report in POS reports or the facility portal
   1. Inventory use is required for this setting
3. Show Availability to Public - If the item is set to be shown to public, public will be able to see the number of items remaining
4. Inventory Amount - Sets the current inventory
5. Refill Alert - This shows an alert when inventory is below X items, default is 5

Managing Inventory

Inventory information is displayed on the product overview page. From here, you may add to the inventory if you receive more products. You may also remove items from the inventory if you find that something has been damaged or miscounted.

1. Inventory - lists the total number of items that have been sold and are available for sale
2. Sold - displays the number of items sold
3. Pending - lists the number of products carted that are pending a finalized sale
4. Available - shows how many items are available for purchase
5. Refill Alert - displays the set refill alert
   1. The Refill Alert Report can be accessed from the management homepage in the Quick Utilities section for easy access

Adjusting Inventory

1. Click the edit symbol next to the inventory quantity on the product overview page
2. Enter the quantity of inventory that is being added or removed
3. Select whether this value is being added to or removed from the inventory
4. Submit the change
