Axess Door Integration

How Axess Works

Axess is an automatic door integration system that allows for access to facilities via a door, turnstile, or gate. MyRec.com currently integrates with Axess via their barcoded options exclusively.

When a membership card or barcoded POS item is scanned at a terminal, that terminal then calls the MyRec.com database to see if the card is associated with a valid membership for the facility where the scanner is associated. If it receives an affirmative response, the access point will be unlocked, and the customer will be granted access. The system will also log the entry as a membership scan or a POS scan in the MyRec.com database, just like a traditional POS Card Scan.

No browser is required for terminals to scan, as the terminals act as a browser for scanning cards and POS barcoded items.

  • Timeline for setup: 4-6 weeks
  • Cost range: $1800 - $4000 per unit depending on chosen equipment
  • Support: Axess provides support on the equipment and setup/installation at the facility
    • MyRec.com provides support for the facility integration setup on MyRec.com
  • You department can have Axess Door System install additional doors in the future and those can be set up by your staff

Steps to Use Axess Door System

Connect with MyRec.com and Axess  

  1. Notify MyRec.com that you would like an automatic door system
    1. If you are an existing MyRec.com client, notify Client Services (support@myrec.com) 
    2. If you are not an existing MyRec.com client, notify your Onboarder or Territory Sales Executives 
  2. Connect with the Axess Sales Team to review the options

Purchase and Installation

  1. Purchase the door system through Axess
  2. The Axess Door System is installed by Axess at your facility
    1. Reach out to your MyRec.com Onboarder or the Support team to confirm that installation is completed

Important Reminder

Please note that it is essential for you reach to out to MyRec.com once the installation is complete to begin the process to integrate the door within the system. 

 

Set up the Axess Integration within MyRec.com

  1. Contact the MyRec.com Client Services team to walk through the following set up for the system within MyRec.com
    1. Have MyRec.com staff activate Axess in settings
    2. Identify the facility where the door is located
    3. Set up the Facility Access for the Membership Access or POS Access 
      1. This is in addition to the terminal setup on the door
    4. Provide the following information to MyRec.com for the door location
      1. Description
      2. CPU Number (located in the Guelt.Log file and Axess will assist with this info)
      3. Client IP Address (the Customer creates their own Static IP)
    5. MyRec.com will provide Axess with the required URL

Testing the Axess Door Integration with MyRec.com

  1. Your department will complete testing at your site to ensure the device and setup is working properly
    1. You will need a valid membership card/POS barcode and an invalid membership card/POS barcode
    2. Scan each and report the result to your MyRec.com team member
      1. We will need the following information:
        1. Terminal info
        2. Card numbers
        3. Expected result
        4. Actual results
        5. Approximate time of testing
    3. MyRec.com will verify that the setup is logging all necessary details
      1. If scans are not working properly, the MyRec.com team will work with you and the Development team on a solution
  2. The process is complete

Additional Terminals

Purchasing and Installing More Terminals via Axess

  1. You can add more terminals as needed through your access to the facility access settings
    1. Your department will have access to the CPU and IP addresses for your terminals once Axess has entered the information from MyRec.com
    2. Your department can add more terminals at this point without having to contact MyRec.com

Axess Controller Set Up

Set Up

The Axess Team will help with all configuration and programming of the controller, so always reach out to Axess when you are ready to proceed. 

  1. Login
    1. Type in Controllers IP address in web browser
    2. Use anything for Username, Pass – AXCustomer

  1. Entry Point Configuration
    1. Navigate to Configuration > System
    2. Change POE Name in poe_name to location/door name
    3. Enter entry point number: (lane1_entrymuber)
    4. Enter Lane #: (lane1_lanenumber) will always be 1

  1. Entering MyRec.com URL Address
    1. Navigate to Configuration > System
    2. Scroll down to AXOEM_HS
    3. Enter URL Provided by MyRec.com (axoem_hs_url) 
    4. Set Timeout to 10,000 (axoem_hs_tout)
  1. Creating and Uploading Logos to Screen of Controller 
    1. Logos must be 480 x 600 pixels 
    2. Logos can be .png or .jpg 
    3. File name of logo must be “welcome_logo.jpg/png”
    4. Upload to created logo with proper file name by navigating to Update
    5. Click on Choose File and select logo file “welcome_logo.jpg/png”
    6. Press Green Check Mark once file uploaded
  1. Reboot Controller: Navigate to AX Controller > Reboot
