MyRec.com offers a free custom design to all departments every 3 years!
If you are a new client or your department/organization has had its current design for 3 years or more, you are eligible for this free design.
Not sure how old your design is?
- Go to the Administration menu
- Click Settings
- Select the Subscriber Settings tab
- Scroll down to see your "custom design applied" date
- If your design is 3 or more years old, then you are eligible for a new free design and can simply fill out the Site Design Request Form
What Does a Custom Design Include?
All MyRec.com site designs start with a basic template that our design specialist will customize for your department. This will include the following three elements:
- Homepage Banner
- A banner at the top of your public home page
- Below is an example of where your homepage banner will be displayed
- Note: This does not include the title bar at the top with the name of your department
- Background Photo
- This can be a photo or just a solid color
- In the example below, the background photo is a solid purple color
- Examples of good photos to choose for this are of parks, municipal buildings, or scenery of your town

- Color Scheme
- This will be a combination of a main color and a minor color
- In the example below, the main color is a dark purple and the minor color is a light lavender
- Note: How these colors are applied and displayed cannot be rearranged or distributed differently. The areas you see that are the main color will all be that color and same for the minor color.

What About My Homepage Photos?
The homepage photos (see image below) are not part of the custom design and are able to be uploaded and edited by your department. Please refer to Home Page Photos for more information on how to apply or edit these photos.

What If I Just Need My Current Design Updated?
Minor Design Updates are Provided at No Cost
If you are looking for minor updates to an existing custom design, we ask that you still fill out the Design Request Form. You will be able to indicate if you are requesting a new design or edits to your current design when filling out this form.
Minor Updates Include:
- Homepage Banner Photos
- Swapping photos in an existing banner design with new photos
- Banner Logo
- Adding a logo or swapping your old logo for a new one
- Color Edits
- Changing your site's color scheme
- This will be a combination of a main and minor color
- Changing your site's color scheme
Requesting multiple banners or photo groups to swap out (per season, per program, etc…) will be considered a new design and will incur a $100 design fee for each additional variation.
